Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th, 1961) is an American actor. Angela Evelyn is an American actor. Bassett was brought up by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Her birthplace was and grew up within New York New York. Bassett was able to move with her younger sister to St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five so that they could be near their mom, who was separated from their father. Bassett was in high school when saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal of being an actor had been born. Yale University New Haven Connecticut gave her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and an advanced degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. The couple got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies, 1980, Master in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School.
